Date night, that’s what it is.Well not really date night more like a romantic evening with your beautiful wife or husband.Because you cannot ignore the fact that kids are coming to an age where they want to spend time with their friends and family away from their parents for just a little while so this is the perfect opportunity for us adults to have some alone time together, right? I mean hell yeah!
You can take me somewhere quiet … but no too quiet because I love good food and drinks surrounded by people so restaurants would be ideal. But wait… I do NOT want to go out tonight. So let’s stay in! Yayyyy!!!
My Alternative Date Night Out consists of everything you need for a cozy dinner for two full of almighty good food and drinks as well as a movie to watch at home.
So here you go:
Candles. Not just any candles … I want lavender scented candles because the smell is so calming and beautiful. You can get them from any Julia’s or Woolworths store. Just make sure they burn and don’t drip (the last thing we need is another candle buying new house).
Cozy blankets and pillows on your bed – definitely need those! Make your bed up like it’s a couch that you could sleep on if needed, again with the soft smelling lavender scented pillows for an added bonus 😉
Table setting – including big fluffy napkins (in case you spill something), nice plates (just for you and not the kids who never appreciate that good china!), nice cutlery, beautiful glasses to match your table setting.
Candlelight … duh!
Oh wait! You might need these things too:
iPad with Netflix recorded ready to watch movies/TV series. Or what ever else you have so you can chill out on the couch together Laptop with iTunes downloaded with music that suits your romantic mood. Psssst… don’t forget chocolate or something sweet to nibble on between courses 😉
Dinnerware – No plastic stuff! We are grown ups now which means real glass dishes, real glass cups for drinks too haha 🙂
TV swivel mount – Because let’s face it each of you will be trying not to fall asleep on the other while watching a movie or television series. We don’t want our heads laying on one another’s shoulder … now do we?!!! That would make us feel silly! But wait… I have an even better idea for you …
Online Radio – great music all the time to suit your mood, this one is my favourite ♪ www.beatsradio.com.au I mean what are they thinking?! Not only is the sound quality brilliant but now you can listen to good music without having to pay annual fees 😀 This makes me unreasonably happy, haha 🙂
